1.6.1 Development History

The FireDAO project was initiated and founded by Mr. Kunyuan through the Rainbow City Foundation. His journey in the crypto world is also the innovative journey of FireDAO.

The development trajectory of FireDAO can be illustrated through Mr. Kunyuan's crypto journey. It provides a clear overview of FireDAO's origin and progress:

  1. Introduction to Bitcoin

In 2017, Mr. Kunyuan was introduced to Bitcoin. Through extensive research and learning, he developed a deep understanding of Bitcoin's potential to bring about significant changes in human civilization. He gradually became a devoted follower of Satoshi Nakamoto and Bitcoin.

  1. Creation of ChainNode Community

In 2018, Mr. Kunyuan created the ChainNode community, a blockchain learning community. He aimed to popularize the underlying logic of Bitcoin and contribute to the ideas of Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto. Under his leadership, ChainNode grew to have 5,000 members and became one of the most influential Chinese crypto communities in 2018.

  1. Participation in FCoin Exchange Community Governance

In the latter half of 2018, Mr. Kunyuan actively participated in the community governance of FCoin exchange, founded by Zhang Jian. He was elected as a community committee member and appointed as the Executive Vice Chairman of the community committee. In this role, he led the revival of the FCoin community and became its highest leader at that time.

  1. Origin of the Rainbow City Project

Through his involvement in the governance of the FCoin community, Mr. Kunyuan realized the limitations of FCoin and the challenges of implementing true community-driven initiatives. Therefore, in June 2019, he resigned from all positions in the FCoin community and began preparations for an independent project called Rainbow City. This marked the earliest origin of FireDAO.

  1. Establishment of Rainbow City Foundation and RainbowDAO Protocol

In 2021, Mr. Kunyuan officially established the Rainbow City Foundation in Singapore and initiated the creation of the RainbowDAO protocol under the foundation's name. He aimed to provide foundational infrastructure for the world of crypto DAOs through this protocol.

  1. Exploration of Bitcoin Civilization

In July 2021, Mr. Kunyuan systematically introduced the concept and ideas of "Bitcoin Civilization" on Bitcointalk, a forum created by Satoshi Nakamoto.

  1. Birth of FireDAO

In May 2022, inspired by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin's paper titled "Decentralized Society, In Search of the Soul of Web3," Mr. Kunyuan decided to launch FireDAO, a Web3 on-chain identity protocol. FireDAO is a social DAO based on the PID and FID identity system, aiming to create a self-operating super-economy.
